The Messenger by Daniel Silva

5.0

The 6th installment of Gabriel's adventures is so well done and one of my favorites in the series so far. The pacing is so well done and, as always, his characters are so well developed that I feel like they are real people. Plus, Gabriel is such a fantastic character that he is so easy to read.

The politics in this novel were intricately woven and a joy to read. There were obvious motivations for each action and the Jenga plot-bricks were neatly stacked upon each other, adding depth to the story. We also get thrown into the intrigue of the art world again, with a fun fictional rumor about Vincent Van Gogh.

I think the older he gets and the more we read of his story, the snarkier Gabriel gets too. There were several points where his sarcasm was hilarious and I laughed out loud.

Just a heads up, I don't have any intention of stopping this series any time soon.
