The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade
by Justin Roberts
Sally is a very observant, quiet little girl. Nothing gets past her…especially not the negative things she witnesses at school. One day she decides to spark a change! She stops the children in their tracks when she tells the bullies she’s had enough.
This book reminds me of the following quote: “Even the smallest stone makes a ripple in the water.” I love the message and the illustrations. I’m not a huge fan of rhyming books, for their forced nature and tendency to obscure meaning. Having read about the author, I can appreciate its use here since Justin Roberts is a children’s musician.
