Teen Titans, Volume 2: The Culling by Scott Lobdell

Read late summer 2019, but did not finish. I started reading the Rebirth Teen Titans while on vacation (I have those as ebooks, so they could easily come on vacation via my tablet, whereas the trade paperback I own could not due to luggage weight concerns) and it is so much better than the New 52 TT that I just can't finish out this series. The series might have been likeable in another creative team's hands, but the choppy story and hit-and-miss characterization so far is just not something I can deal with, especially not in comparison to the much better Rebirth reboot. I'm a little glad that I got this far, as some of these characters reprise in Rebirth (so I can at least recognize them), but I have no plans to read the other books. I am likely to donate the series - as I, unfortunately, own all the books - to my local library. Maybe someone else will like it more than I do.
