Ali Hazelwood may only really know how to write one relationship dynamic, but by god does she do it well. I was honestly surprised that I did enjoy this. I thought that Misery was a fun character, and that she was a great lead. Lowe was kind of There, but this is how I've felt about most of Hazelwood's male characters, and his character served the function he needed to fill. I liked the overall world, I enjoyed the overarching mystery, and I liked how the epilogue opens up a really great potential for a series.
Moderate: Forced institutionalization and Violence
Minor: Death, Death of parent, and War
