Burning Dawn by Gena Showalter

4.0

I somehow purchased but missed actually reading Gena Showalter’s Angels of the Dark series so when I recently went through and glommed all that’s currently available, I really enjoyed catching up! Burning Dawn is the story of Thane, right hand man to Zacharel, leader of the Army of Darkness. Because of how intertwined this series is I do not recommend starting with this book. When this story starts it really does start right where the last ended so it can be confusing for initially Thane’s actions and behavior. Elin is trapped and knows that her one chance for escape is Thane. What neither want is the attraction that burns deeply between them, especially since they are both hiding secrets. I loved how these two came together, how they built a relationship when neither of them really knew what to do with their attraction. And I really enjoyed how this built on the series story arc. Great read!
