Still Me
by Jojo Moyes
True to the books title, Louisa Clark is still that quirky girl with the stripy tights, even after she has started her new job for the Gopniks miles away from her family and boyfriend. Even after Ambulance Sam breaks her heart, or when she meets Josh (who mind you has an uncanny resemblance to Will).
When Lou loses her job at the Gopniks she finds herself homeless and jobless. Despite everything that's going on, her last hope is taking care of a stern elderly lady and her pug with the bulging eyes. It's with Mrs DE Witt's wisdom that Lou truly finds her place in the world not conforming to anyone's standards of who she ought to be
My thoughts:
This was the necessary ending to Lou Clark's story. It definitely tugged at the heart strings. "a lesson in life" kind of ending. Through everything she had endured that passed year Lou was "Still Me".
