Beastly Bones

The second in the series with this not-Homes & Watson duo on their supernatural investigations.
I liked this book well enough. It was diverting and while not exactly a gripping page-turner, interesting enough to keep me, well, turning pages. But it wasn't quite as good as the first one, and the investigation was, ultimately, predictable and a bit too slow going.
That said, I did like seeing the sometimes softer side of Jackaby and his particular insights, especially the one I shared in my status message.
And I liked seeing more of Abigail and Charlie together, though I felt like Abigail was a bit too slow on the uptake.
I was sorry that
I'll be continuing the series, especially since the next in the series focuses more on the ghost, Jenny.

the reporter lady, whose name currently escapes me, died, though, because I liked her spunk.I'll be continuing the series, especially since the next in the series focuses more on the ghost, Jenny.
