The Lucky Dog Matchmaking Service by Beth Kendrick

4.0

I picked this book up on a whim because cute dogs, and I liked the premise of a matchmaker for people and dogs. I ended up loving the story, and I enjoyed watching Lara's journey with her mother, father, Kerry, and of course all the dogs. I was slightly disappointed with how the characters' love lives went. I wanted to see what happened with Kerry and her husband because it comes up a lot, but sadly it just disappears without resolution. I also didn't really care to see Lara end up in a relationship as the end of the book. She was starting a new business and about to buy a house, but we end with romance? Disappointing but it didn't ruin the story. The story was funny, and I liked the cast of characters. I'll be looking for more of Kendrick's books.
