I can’t tell if I didn’t like this one as much because I listened on audio and hated the narrator, or because it just lagged on more and was a bit more confusing for me to follow…. I was also way less invested in Bree and Sel’s relationship, which was a big let down for me. Their chemistry in Legendborn was so good!
Bloodmarked was still really good, don’t get me wrong… I still can’t wait to see how the story continues, and was riveted by the last 1/4 or so, but it definitely didn’t live up to the first book for me.
As far as the narration goes, I never really like Joniece Abbot-Pratt, but especially for Bree, she just feels way to whiney and like she’s taking away her strength and power. It’s a no for me.
I’ll definitely be reading the physical copy of the 3rd.
