deeply meh. couldn't get attached to any of the characters, and the plot felt like it was confusing just for the hell of it, instead of working like a thriller. I'm not convinced the author even had a clear sense of what the characters had done. regardless, it felt too self-indulgent and violent without any interesting dimension.
