Not That Kind of Girl by Siobhan Vivian
3.0
this book reminded me of my own high school years; i could certainly see my friends & i planning something like the empowerment shut-in. i held a lot of the same views as natalie, especially being a "good girl" and not a "bad" one, along with what makes you "bad".
since this is a young adult book, i kept hoping more time would be spent on natalie's thoughts & feelings about what kind of girl she is & what that means, as opposed to just finishing up the book in a perfect way. the reader spends a lot of time in her mindset of negative, judgmental thinking and not enough in her more open & understanding mind that comes after her "bad" actions are revealed.
still, i'd recommend it to teenage girls and encourage them to think about the messages being put forth.
