There was a throwaway joke on an episode of Bojack Horseman, that Tim Burton died shooting Mars Attacks and someone else has been making movies under his name ever since. That's how I'm starting to feel about Amanda Eyre Ward. I can't believe this is the same person who wrote Sleep Toward Heaven. Every character is awful, soap opera storylines, kind of relentlessly bad.
