“But that is how a tragedy like ours or King Lear breaks your heart—by making you believe that the ending might still be happy, until the very last minute.”
I have a lot of feelings about this story and I’m sure I’ll never be able to put them all into words. What I can say though is: I loved this book, every page, every line, every minute heartbreak I felt.
There’s so many emotions in the story, just how you would expect from Shakespeare, so be aware of that going into the book. To make matters worse (or better I haven’t decided yet), I actually pulled out my pen and annotated on the pages and not on transparent sticky notes or in a separate notebook. If we were villains made me lose my sanity, cheers.
