A pretty classic whodunnit with limited options for the mind to run. Told from a variety of character's perspectives, each with their own back story, The Guest List is an easy and entertaining read. I wish the story had picked up a little sooner and dropped more hints. The denouement that I was hoping for didn't quite happen but I was still pleased. It's got all of the quintessential elements of a thriller, and follows the formula without straying. A decent atmospheric mystery that ticks the boxes and still ties in a bit of originality. None of the characters are particularly lovable but there's something to relate to in all of them.
Moderate: Child death, Death, Misogyny, Suicidal thoughts, Blood, Grief, Abortion
