Legacy: Women Poets of the Harlem Renaissance by Nikki Grimes
informative

I really enjoyed the poems from women writers of the Harlem Renaissance. I didn't realize when I started the book that they alternate with poems by Nikki Grimes. Many of Grimes's poems are strong, but I didn't enjoy them as much, and they seemed a bit uneven.
I listened to it on audio. It's very well read, but I might have enjoyed book more in paper format so I could have focused on the poems by Harlem Renaissance writers.
