The Walled City by Ryan Graudin
5.0
Holy cows, this book was a doozy. I wasn't fully prepared for everything that went down. My head is still reeling from the final scenes. The characters are wonderfully written as well as the plot line. This book is definitely for high schools due to the fact that there are drugs, prostitution, and various other evil activities mentioned.
However, it is not a vulgar book. When these things are brought up, Graudin writes in such a way that she could be describing anything. In context of the book, this makes each scene more powerful. Ever since reading Wolf by Wolf, I knew Graudin was an author to watch. This book just confirms this assumption. I can't wait to see what else she writes.
