The Next Thing on My List by Jill Smolinski
This was a fast and very nice read. In this story, the main character June decides to give a ride home to a girl that she has just met at a Weight Watcher meeting (Marissa). On their way home, the girls are in a car accident and Marisa dies. From the accident, June finds a list of 20 things that Marissa wanted to do before her 25th birthday and sets out to complete the items for Marissa as a form of atonement and healing. Along the way, she learns a lot about herself as well as the family and friends in her life. When I first started reading this book, I thought I had the plot all figured out, but was surprised by who June winds up with in the end. Overall, it was a nice book - light and very fast to read.
