Batman, Volume 2: The City of Owls by Scott Snyder

3.0

Honestly I didn't think the Court of Owls needed a follow-up, even though the first volume ended on a cliffhanger, we all know once Batman got out of that maze he was going to stop them!!

That said, I did appreciate 1) Harper Row interlude because she's lovely and 2) the story about Mr. Freeze, especially thinking about what certain directors have said about certain sequel films *wink nudge wink nudge no spoilers here*. I like the idea that the Court of Owls doesn't just exist to terrorize Bruce, but anyone they can in Gotham, including good people AND villains alike.

I also like the link between Mr. Freeze and the Court of Owls shenanigans I think that was a nice way to tie things together AND solidify why Mr. Freeze specifically has a grudge against Bruce Wayne (and by extension, Batman, for obvious reasons)
