This took me coppletely off guard with how much I loved it! To be honest, my expectations weren't the highest. I adored Land of Stories as a younger tween but wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this series. But it was soooo sweet and funny and atmospheric, and it is a middle grade, but I still adored it and would recommend to younger readers, fantasy lovers, and anyone who has struggled with depression, because this book had one of the best portrayals and applications of depression that I have ever read. It was so healing, it was so heartfelt, and it rang so true. I loved these characters and their quirkiness. Now I wanna reread the whole original series just for the nostalgia! But I'm very excited to pick up the final book of this trilogy, hopefully soon!
