i would give it between 2 and 3 which is it was OK, i kinda liked it, but I wouldn't read it again nor would I read the sequel.
this is my second CoHo book that i've read. the first one was verity and it took me by surprise how great it was, so i was like, okay let's read this one. i hope it doesnt disappoint!
it actually didn't. i understand why some people didn’t like it and i understand why people liked it. it's not a romantic book and the plot is most certainly isn't a light one. It contains heavy, sensitive topic(s) which may trigger some. “the author is romanticising abuse” i don't think she was doing that? maybe i didnt read between the lines or focused in the book too much, so i might be wrong. i don't have anything else to say about this book…but you wont find me reading ‘it starts with us’, that i can promise
