Lady Scandal by Laura Lee Guhrke
lighthearted
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? Plot
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the eARC of Lady Scandal! All opinions in this review are my own.
I know this is an unpopular opinion but I don't love the hate to love trope. I think it is really difficult to strike a balance between being able to build that tension while also not making the characters hate each other too much.
I should not have been surprised that Laura Lee Guhrke was able to write one I actually enjoyed though! I loved Bookshop Cinderella so I was excited to read Lady Scandal and it did not disappoint! While Guhrke is able to put Delia and Simon at odds professionally, their personalities are more grumpy/sunshine which helps to make them falling for each other more believable later. I can't wait to read the next book in the Scandal at the Savoy series!
