All You Need Is Kill 1 by Ryōsuke Takeuchi

4.0

This is my first time reading a manga. And I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

The earth is invaded by monstrous creatures called Mimics. Mimics are not only taking over nations but also are trying to destroy man-kind. Soon they overtake Japan and that's when the story starts.

Our main character Keiji joins as soldier trying to help his people.' On his first day of battle a mimic kills him and Keiji wakes up from his sleep. Thinking of this as a dream he joins his fellow teammates to fight the
Mimics, only to die again. Soon Keiji realizes that he is stuck in a time loop, where the day he died would keep repeating unless he makes out alive from his first battle.

The story was unique. And it was really fast paced. As most of it contained Keiji trying to get out of the time loop, I thought a lot of scenes will be repeated. But that did not happen as Keiji was trying to survive differently each and everytime. The only problem was there was not a lot of character development going on. But still as this was the first manga I read, it did not disappoint me.
