Once Upon an Eid: Stories of Hope and Joy by 15 Muslim Voices by S.K. Ali, Aisha Saeed
4.0
I so enjoyed this collection and all of the heart that was put into it.
I took my time reading this as I didn’t want the stories to run together, and I wanted to sit with each one and think about what each family had experienced.
This anthology is appropriate for all audiences, of any age, and I highly recommend reading it with your child. There are lessons to be gained from each author’s account of their Eid celebration and we could all be more open-minded when it comes to cultural customs from around the world.
Definitely pick this up - it is perfect for reading around the holiday season.
