Dead End Tunnel
by Nick Roberts
The writing style was the biggest problem with this book; you can tell the author was picturing everything happening like a movie, but a book can't be written that way. It was way too detailed, the prose was too precise, and a lot of the times it felt like the horror was only done to be potentially scary, not because it had meaning. Some of the characters were pointless, and the past timeline set up the present timeline in a way where the present timeline just falls short. In the hands of a better editor, this could have been a much better and scarier book. As is, I'd give it a 2 and half, 3 to be generous, for an interesting premise, plot, and monster.
