The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats

4.0

I'd actually never read this before until now!  And I'm so glad I did--especially after I heard about all the controversy surrounding this book and its publication.  I think that this is precisely the way to offer more representation in the literary world even if you're white--just like...add characters of color without the narrative surrounding their very specific experiences about existing within our society.

I think this was a sweet story that definitely encapsulates the joy of waking up to a snowy day.
