Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson
2.0

This classic adventure book was entertaining enough, but rather lightweight and predictable at times. I don't think it has aged as well as some of Robert Louis Stevenson's works. It reads very much like a tale plucked from an old anthology of stories entitled: "Cracking Good Adventure Stories For Respectable Young Lads". Without the swashbuckling Alan Breck, and all the Scottish characters constantly exclaiming "hoot-toot", this book would have been a sorry waste!
