I love these stories that are without high amounts of drama.
Garrick is an injured smoke jumper. He’s working on recovering so he can go back to doing what he loves. His injury was terrible but he’s determined to rehab successfully.
Rain is a younger man visiting his grandma. His family thinks he’s flighty but he is determined to prove to them that he is serious about working for the fire service.
They meet one afternoon when an injured dog wanders onto Garrick’s porch and he needs help to help her.
The sparks are immediate and Garrick Agrees to train him if Rain helps with the dog. They are pretty up front about the attraction. They attempt to resist but they can’t.
There is some discussion of important issues: ED after spinal cord injury, fear of abandonment, families lack of faith, feeling unworthy..
There is some drama but it is relevant to the couple. I love these series so much.
