Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

A beautiful, bitter, bold creation in the style of my favorite genre.

I only wish there was a bit more included in the ending. Perhaps a time-jump?

I also didn't find the romance between the two main characters as compelling as the bond between Noemí and Catalina. They represent that viscous "final girl" trope just as wonderfully as the more obvious Brontë connections. Also, I needed more backstory and images of Marta and Agnes.
