I got the first book during the one of the Stuff Your Kindle Days and the cover looked interested and I struggled with the first book as it was the first time I read a bully romance and the first book was a major information dump, the second book was better, but this one just felt like an information dump again and I hated the Autumn mate.

This book is based on Lyra and her surprising reveal to her Winter Mate leaves her feeling ambivalent. But his unwavering support and dominant reassurance bring out a new confidence within her. With the realm teetering on the brink of chaos, unexpected allies offer hope in the conflict against the rebellious New Night Coalition and its leaders. As she navigates her growing bonds, Lyra’s powers increase, and she discovers her greatest strength may be in forgiveness and trusting the one who broke her heart.

Vale saved this book from being two stars. I still adore him, and he is so sweet and hot, and I still want him. I liked Lyra and I like how she is getting more confident and braver within herself. I liked the introduction of Rhett and hopefully he can control Khade, but because this was mainly about Khade being introduced to the dynamic, I wanted to smack him. I liked the training aspect, and it feels like it is building up to a big fight or war.

I missed her family and friends' dynamic within this book; I loved the protectiveness of family and friends and her brothers throughout the first two books and then someone decides to be protective and take her away from all social life. There was a lot more information dump within this book again. Everyone is now a shifter and the whole dynamic with her mates after change once she finds all of them which she has done now besides Axel who is still being a tool but now a decent tool. I was bored of the fae politics and there is no actual villain as all the mates are still arguing constantly. Then the same thing happens, a new mate gets introduced, there is a dynamic change and then they all hate Axel and want to kill him whilst Axel is trying to creep back into Lyra’s life. I hated Khade, I think he was supposed to come over as like a hot uncle or hotter, older authority. But he just came across as an older, possessive dickhead who was then disregarding Lyra’s mates, friends and family just because he had experience. Like dude, don’t be a tool. Another issue I had personally is that I read a lot of series, so it takes me a while to get back to a series and like with this one, the fourth books got no date yet so I’m gonna have to wait. I can put money on it, I will forget what happens in this book, I forgot what happened in the last book when I started this book. I feel like there needs to be a like recap page just to refresh the storyline.

The cliffhanger wasn’t too crazy, Axel deserves to be happy, and he rejected Lyla. Just leave him and move on and whoever is the big scary villain needs to make their presence known because I'm getting bored.
