The Laundry Hag's Christmas Rental: A Damaged Goods and Laundry Hag Holiday Novel by Jennifer L. Hart

4.0

Heavily pregnant and desperately in need of a holiday, Maggie, Neil and family (Laundry Hag Series) pull up stakes and fly to Florida where they've been offered a holiday rental owned by one of Neil's old Navy friends. In Florida, Maggie teams up with Jackie (Damaged Goods Series), when she hears about a santa who is stealing christmas right out from under the tree.

With the police baffled it's up to Maggie and Jackie to catch the thief and save Christmas.

The Laundry Hag series is fairly typical of the mystery genre and being totally honest the I've read stories like this a dozen times. What makes it a little better than all those other stories is pure and simple...intelligent writing and intelligent characters. It's worth reading just for the banter and if you throw in smart characters who aren't cookie cutter shapes thrown onto the page, honestly it becomes great.

I love that Maggie can look after herself, I love that she isn't TSTL and I love that her husband respects her judgement. Great book.
