The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood

4.0

This is set during the same time as Oryx and Crake just a different perspective. The God's Gardeners are awaiting the waterless flood. They don't believe in eating meat, but do believe in preparing for something that will wipe out mankind as we know it. The book looks back to the time before the waterless flood and then the after. The book is told from the perspectives of two women that had been in the Gardeners, but now are out in the exfernal world. I really loved this book. I thought it helped explain how people outside of the world of Oryx and Crake survived. I also liked how the book came together and made you understand more than you did from just Oryx and Crake.
