Suddenly a Murder by Lauren Muñoz

3.0

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I really liked the whole 1920s costume party aesthetic and the scene at the end where the detectives gathered everyone together to explain what happened felt very Agatha Christie and that was fun. I knew there was gonna be some kind of twist, but I didn’t actually expect the reveal. The ending made me tear up a little bit and it felt very fitting given the inspiration (and also there were hints at Kassidy’s mental health situation earlier in the book) but hm. I don’t think I like it. Also the way things piled on to show how Izzy’s mom is a horrible person felt kind of OTT? But still this was a very fast and entertaining read and the cover is gorgeous.
