The overall storyline wasn’t bad but the MMC was kind of dumb to really obvious things for someone who was supposed to be really smart. There were some parts of the story I just found annoying and the romance was definitely part of that. They also had all these elaborate plans to get out of the city and thought they were so intelligent but they lacked a lot of foresight. If some of that was cleaned up a bit this would be a much better story.

I do plan to read the next one but I really hate cliffhangers! I want to give the author a chance to build the story more as I did enjoy a fair amount of this story there were just some parts I didn’t.
