I definitely waited too long to finish this series, and I'm sad that I did! What was I waiting for? There is such a unique world that has been built here and a dynamic of sorts I haven't really seen in my reading prior to this series. Stormy Smith has created this vast world of magical species that basically derives from ancient mythology. It's so interesting and creative.

I love that Amelia and Aidan have come so far and how they rely on each other. What I wasn't expecting is how much I was impressed with Cole, or the direction his own personal life would take. I also just LOVED the direction the author chose to go with the dogs. I was shocked and also not shocked, but it was a very good twist in the story.
In the end, decisions had to be made for the best of all the people, and I loved how Amelia just knew what was the right thing to do, and how happy it made Micah. I think it was just the perfect ending to the series, but also I like how it was open ended enough that the world can continue!
