All Adults Here by Emma Straub

4.0

"It happened before you could blink. Her children had been children, and now they were adults; they were all adults here, now"

Anyone who has a complicated relationship with their family would relate to this book in some way. These characters are just people who are going through life, trying to do the right thing, and still growing, and I think you really get a sense of that. Parents feel like they're failing their children, children want to be treated as children but be allowed to change, adults grapple with their responsibilities and the need to feel like teenagers. Genuinely think there is something for everyone here and it is just such a joy to read.

Fav character Porter, Cecelia and Robin made me emotional every time
