✨ We Were Liars is the perfect summer read. Set on a private island, it follows a group of teenagers spending their summer surrounded by privilege, secrets, and the pressure to appear perfect in a wealthy, dysfunctional family.

The atmosphere is absolutely amazing.The characters are fun and layered, especially Cadence Sinclair, who feels relatable in many ways, though you’re never quite sure what’s real because she can’t remember everything.

The ending is shocking and still hits hard, even on a reread.
