The conclusion of the Tokyo training camp! Volume 11, much like the camp itself, was almost entirely dominated by Fukurōdani.
Karasuno really struggles in the beginning, with Coach Ukai telling Hinata and Kageyama he does not want them using the freak quick until they practice it more. Kageyama goes off to practice on his own afterwards and Hinata joins and awesome 3v3 game with some of the other players. It's here we get to meet one of my new favorites, Bokuto!
Karasuno gears up to play a final match against Fukurōdani, and Daichi finds out there will be a BBQ afterwards, which motivates the team. Karasuno plays them hard, all the things they've been learning over the past week finally clicking. Nishinoya sets a ball, they run a syncho-attack and finally pull off the new freak quick set. Hinata also pulls out some of the tricks Bokuto taught him, which turned into points for Karasuno. They lost by 2, but showed that the gears are falling into place.
Really enjoyed this volume! On top of some great volleyball, there were also some great slice of life moments. I especially enjoyed the panels with Tsukishima and his brother.
Next up is the spring high preliminaries!
