A Moment Like You by Claudia Burgoa

5.0

I completely adored Claudia Burgoa's "A Moment Like You." Main characters Henry and Sophia were both incredibly likeable and well-developed, and it was easy for me to root for them to overcome all of the obstacles keeping them apart.

When the book began, it seemed like it was going to be a fairly straightforward enemies-to-lovers romance, but Henry and Sophia's relationship turned out to be so much more complex than that. They had both been hiding feelings for each other for some time, but didn't act on them for a number of valid reasons. Things finally started to change between them when Henry forced Sophia to move to Baker's Creek with him. As Henry began to open up to his brothers and work through some of his childhood trauma, he also opened up to Sophia, who started to see that there was more to him than the arrogant workaholic she had come to know so well.

The growth of Henry's relationship with his brothers was another highlight of this book. They seemed to grow so much closer over the course of the story and even started to treat each other as friends in a lot of ways. They were certainly more supportive of each other by the end, and I loved that they were comfortable enough to tease each other (lovingly, of course!).

Overall, "A Moment Like You" was a sweet, funny, and touching story that I highly recommend for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. It was the first book I've ever read by Claudia Burgoa, but it certainly won't be the last. I look forward to the next book in this series!
