This was my first John Green book and honestly I’m very disappointed. This book was bland. The characters had no real personalities and the story just seemed to be thrown together in hopes that it would work. I had to read a couple pages, put it down and then try again later to get it done which has never happened with a 215 paged book. I really hope his other stories aren’t as disappointing because I have a few on my shelf.
Hassan’s character was overdone with the constant need to be lazy and the funny side kick whereas Colin was boring as all hell and just whined too much for my liking. Lindsey was the most basic pick me girl character I’ve read to date.
