Nexus Omnibus, Volume 1 by Mike Baron
3.0
Fun pulpy sci-fi in the vein of a lot of 60's and 70's era space opera. There are a few different arcs getting thrown around, but essentially Nexus is a galactic superhero granted extraordinary powers to assassinate random mass murderers around the galaxy. Nexus the person isn't really in control of who or why he kills, instead he has terrible nightmares (that also somehow effect his physical well being) about his future victims, and their atrocities. Then he seeks them out and kills them. (Often decades after their crimes.) Its quite strange, not the least of which are the psychic disembodied heads that many of the governments (and evil dictators) use as power sources. I'm currently reading the second omnibus from the library, but not seeing it on Goodreads.
