Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life
by Bryan Lee O’Malley
This is a fun, zany read and kind of the ultimate video game geek fantasy.
I saw the movie version first (which was great) and it tracked really closely to this first volume (which means that this volume felt repetitive because I already knew what would happen and I think even some of the dialogue was the same - not the graphic novel's fault!).
My favorite character is probably Scott's roommate. He's fantastic. Scott Pilgrim actually irks me a bit with his unwillingness to be a man and just break up with Knives instead of leading her on when he starts seeing Ramona. Oh well - Scott Pilgrim has room to grow (and man up!).
