I don't feel as invested in providing more detailed reviews for novels these days (since I primarily read comics), but this was really well written! The main character was truly despicable, and the author developed a strong voice and persona for her. It's an uncomfortable listen in many ways, and I liked that the author really drove home the ways in which the structures of publishing are built on racism and white supremacy and the myth of meritocracy.
