if i had a nickel for every book nicola dinan wrote that made me think about my dead ex-friend i'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's INSANE that this has happened twice. i hope fred rots in hell. the scenes where Max is in large groups and being microaggressed in casual conversation were soooo real and it is so much worse for trans women than it is for me as a transmasc still figuring out what I want to do medical transition wise! Really love the throughlines I'm already seeing in Dinan's books about Asian identity and how forgiveness and love intertwine and Connection. only connect!
