schildpad 's review for:
To the Lighthouse
by Virginia Woolf
This book was really dense. I had to stop every ten, fifteen pages just to breath a little, sometimes I had to read a sentence a couple of times before it sank in. Some parts were really beautiful, especially the part about the weather and night slowly wearing down the house - that was one of the most incredible things I have read in a long long time. Some parts however were just extremely boring. I will definitely read more from Virginia Woolf, for I am curious about the other things she can make me feel, but first I will have to recover a bit from finally reaching the lighthouse.
