I'm not sure how to describe what all this book is about- because there is so much more going on than what it appears to be at the surface- and how I feel right now. wonderful book. good characters. devastating world and plot. more relatable than we might hope it to be...
absolutely read this. check trigger warnings because it is grim, but read it. especially if you like The Road by Cornac McCarthy
