Our Darkest Night: A Novel of Italy and the Second World War by Jennifer Robson

4.0

Some WWII fictions don’t touch on the horrors of the times and therefore end up being boring or unbelievable. This one was a good balance of a love story and history.

My 4 stars is solely because I doubt the legitimacy of the reunification at the end of this story. Not the author’s fault that I’m a realist. Haha.

Also I feel like the ending was a good setup for a sequel - if so I’ll definitely be reading it.
