I absolutely love Lily Williams's 'If they Disappeared' series and this is a fantastic addition to the series!
We follow Simone as she travels to Kent in the UK and they learn all about the different kinds of bees, what would happen if we no longer had them, and how this would affect the wider ecosystem. The book explains how this was affect both other animals and pollination, and lead to many of our sources of food we humans rely on disappearing too!
Lily Williams is a master at illustrating and designing pages filled with complex facts, laid out in an easy to understand and accessible way, that makes learning a pleasure.
There is a helpful glossary in the back, and some calls to action about how you can help bees!
I loved the beautiful illustrations in this book and learning just how many different kinds of bees there are and the incredible role they play, fascinating!
