Cold Wind by C.J. Box

5.0

I’ve lost track of which number in Box’s Joe Pickett series this is, but this is one of my favorites. Box uses contemporary issues and events in his novels and protagonist Joe Pickett is called on to solve the crime. And crime, there is. The latest husband of Joe’s mother-in-law, Missy, was found hanging from a wind turbine on a mountain and she is the prime suspect.

Missy had motive for the murder and there is real possibility that she did it. There are twists and turns amid the tale and I was totally unprepared for the last two pages. I will re-read this one, after I run out of the series.
