This book started off as ABSOLUTE GIBBERISH!!! I had no idea what it was going in. I have absolutely zero recollection of requesting this from the library, it just showed up on my kindle like a ghost. I’m so glad that instead of putting it down I read like, 2/5s of it in one sitting because otherwise I wouldn’t have finished it.
Once you get past the world building (there’s a LOT) it gets really good. Like, to the point where I would be doing other things and wishing I was reading this book instead. If you’re good with heavy and dark fantasy novels like this, I think you’ll like this book.
Also I want Serapio and Xiala to kiss more
