As another reviewer on this site noted, "I think it's time to take a break from Burning Cove."
This one did not work for me. The relationship between the two main characters was not fluid and the tension of the lucid dreaming was never explained well enough for me. I got what the author was trying to do but I don't think it came together very cohesively. I skimmed the last 40 pages or so as I just did not care. At the current time there is one additional book in this series but I think I will wait to read it and hope that some distance between myself and Burning Cove brings some joy back to this series.
